Students worked this quarter to learn about the basics of our current government leaders, as well as the first people to live in what is now called Georgia, the Cherokee and Muscogee (Creek) nations. They also learned about the founding of Georgia, and the teamwork of Tomochichi, Mary Musgrove, and James Oglethorpe to create a peaceful settlement for the English that respected the Native people who were already there. Hear students' reflections on what they learned about being a Georgian.
